The Shady Day Band came together over a couple of years in the late 1960's from your typical backyard bands of the time. The final membership list consisted of John Snider and Jim Magnusson on the drums; Rick Pritchard on bass; Dan Gillespie on keyboards; and Ted Bayes and Chad Shue on guitar. Lead vocals were generally shared between Jim and Chad but everybody (except John) had a mic and knew how to use it. They played a variety of music from Hank Williams to Blood Sweat and Tears and sprinkled a few of our own original tunes in as well.

Military service and continuing education interrupted the group in 1970 but they finally came back together in 2011 to rekindle the friendship and music that has remained strong. The songs on this CD were written by Chad Shue over 40 years.

These recordings were a blast to do and brought us so much joy. We hope you enjoy them.
